Nigel Walker. Producer/Director/Editor.

Nigel is a British cameraman/line producer. He has a wealth of experience making films in some of the most challenging production environments in the world including Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Afghanistan, India and Colombia.


Recent work includes documentary film production and news with the BBC, ARTE, Al Jazeera, Discovery Channel and HDNet.


Shadow Work is his first documentary as producer and director. He is a former marine biologist and currently resides in Mill Valley, California.

Lane Hartill. Line Producer/Assistant Editor.

Lane is a US journalist who specializes in West Africa. He covered the coup d'etat in Ivory Coast and the 2005 presidential elections in Liberia for the Washington Post.


Prior to his work abroad, Lane was a writer and editor at the Christian Science Monitor in Boston. Lane is currently working for Catholic Relief Services, a humanitarian relief and development organization.

Nigel and Lane met in Kabul, Afghanistan in 2004, whilst working for Aina, a French media NGO founded by National Geographic photographer Reza Deghati.


Lane trained Afghan journalists and was the English editor of Kabul Weekly, Nigel taught video journalism to Afghan women.
